When I got back to the parking lot I saw a bird flitting around the parking area then drop into an open garbage can. It was a Cactus Wren - looking for a meal? Looking for nesting material? I also saw a Curved-billed Thrasher (Toxostoma curvirostre) on a nest in a Desert Hackberry.
